A masterpiece vehicle has been introduced for the driving test to obtain a license in Lahore. The first artificial intelligence-based driving test car has been developed in Pakistan.
According to DIG Traffic Punjab Waqas Nazir, a vehicle equipped with cameras and sensors for all over Punjab, including Lahore, will automatically conduct the test of candidates.
Moreover, a facial recognition camera has been installed inside the vehicle, and 4 cameras have been installed outside the car. A biometric machine for fingerprints has also been installed inside that vehicle.

In addition, an automated feature will also be available for test-related instructions as soon as the candidates sit in the vehicle.
“Latest features like a countdown timer for the test, hand-brake and seat-belt configuration are also available in the car. If the candidate uses reverse gear more than once, the vehicle will automatically declare the candidate a failure. The test result will be automatically updated under the automated system”, informed the DIG Traffic Punjab.
According to sources, the AI-based vehicle will initially be used in Lahore and then deployed in other cities.
In the current financial year, 200 AI-based vehicles will be manufactured and sent to all centres in Punjab. The AI-based vehicle was developed by the traffic police without any external assistance.
