
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has promised full compensation for people affected by recent floods. He said those who lost their homes, livestock, or businesses will receive complete support from the government. The announcement came during a provincial cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister in Peshawar.
At the meeting, officials prayed for the flood victims and discussed ongoing relief and recovery efforts. Gandapur said rescue operations are complete but searches for missing persons continue. He confirmed that compensation payments have already begun for families of the deceased and injured.
The Chief Minister emphasized that damage assessment teams are collecting data on losses in flood-hit areas. He assured that the government is committed to helping victims rebuild their lives quickly and sustainably. Gandapur also said the government is ready to support affected people with housing and business recovery packages.
In addition to the initial Rs 3 billion allocated for relief, the government has released an extra Rs 2 billion to speed up rehabilitation work. Gandapur stressed that this funding will ensure proper assistance reaches every affected family across the province. The government aims to restore normal life in the flood-affected communities as soon as possible.
Finally, the Chief Minister urged all departments to work closely and efficiently during the recovery phase. He promised that no effort will be spared in providing help to the victims and reviving the local economy. The provincial cabinet reaffirmed its commitment to disaster management and long-term support for vulnerable populations.
