May 9 rioters are Pakistan’s real enemies: Azma Bukhari

Published on: July 23, 2025 7:38 PM

Punjab’s Information Minister Azma Bukhari has called the May 9 attackers Pakistan’s true enemies. She released CCTV footage related to the violent events. The footage shows clear planning and involvement of key individuals. According to her, all details about the attacks are now public.

Bukhari said court decisions on May 9 cases have started coming in after two years. She added that the failed rebellion was planned in detail. The planning, locations, and names of people involved are now known. This removes all doubt or confusion, she said.

She strongly condemned those who set fire to martyrs’ monuments. According to Bukhari, such people deserve no mercy. She claimed that attacks on military sites were well-organized. The minister stressed that these were not random actions.

Bukhari also highlighted the Supreme Court’s role. It has ordered all trial courts to conclude May 9 cases in four months. She warned that the mastermind and his coach will not escape accountability. The law will take its full course.

Finally, Bukhari said the nation must stand united against such elements. She urged citizens to support the justice system. “These acts were against the state,” she said. “And they will not be forgiven.”
