LAHORE — A passenger who held a ticket from Lahore to Karachi was shocked to find himself in Jeddah, leaving airport staff and airline crew puzzled over the mix-up.
The Lahore Airport manager quickly blamed the private airline for this unusual incident and reported it to the Pakistan Airports Authority. The authority has now taken notice and promised a full investigation to assign responsibility.
The passenger shared that at the runway, he saw two planes parked side by side and mistakenly boarded the wrong one, assuming it was headed to Karachi. Only after some time did another passenger inform him that he was on a flight to Jeddah.
He also claimed he showed his Karachi ticket to a flight attendant, but she failed to inform him about the mistake. Frustrated, the passenger said the airline staff unfairly blamed him for the confusion.
When he requested help to reach Karachi, the airline staff reportedly said it would take two to three days to arrange a flight back. He was also told that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would look into the matter.
This incident highlights serious lapses by airline and airport personnel. Authorities are now investigating the case to ensure such mistakes are prevented in the future.
