The United Arab Emirates has announced new fuel prices for July, increasing the cost of both petrol and diesel. The Fuel Price Committee confirmed that the new rates have taken effect from July 1, 2025. This monthly revision reflects global oil trends and aims to adjust domestic prices accordingly.
According to Geo News, the price of Super 98 petrol has been raised to AED 2.70 per liter, up from AED 2.58 in June. This increase is expected to slightly raise transportation and commuting expenses across the country. Residents have already started expressing concern over the rising cost of living.
Special 95 petrol will now cost AED 2.58 per liter, compared to AED 2.47 last month. Additionally, E-Plus petrol has seen a similar increase, now priced at AED 2.51 per liter, up from AED 2.39. These changes mark a consistent upward trend in fuel prices observed over recent months.
Diesel users are also affected, as the price has gone up to AED 2.63 per liter from AED 2.45 in June. This is likely to impact logistics and commercial transport, adding further pressure on sectors that rely heavily on diesel-powered vehicles.
The revised fuel prices come at a time when residents are already facing higher utility and grocery bills. While the adjustments are routine and based on global rates, the cumulative burden is becoming harder to ignore for everyday consumers.
As fuel prices continue to fluctuate, many citizens and businesses in the UAE are hoping for price stability in the coming months. Until then, people are being advised to manage fuel usage wisely and explore carpooling or public transport where possible.
