Pakistan is all set to make its historic debut in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2025 qualifiers. The team has been placed in a tough Group D with Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Chinese Taipei. All group matches will be played in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, this September.
This is the first time Pakistan will compete in the continental futsal qualifiers. The event includes 31 teams, divided into eight groups. Group D is one of the strongest, with skilled teams like Iraq and the host nation Saudi Arabia. Chinese Taipei is also known for its fast and smart gameplay.
Pakistan will face Iraq on September 20, Saudi Arabia on September 22, and Chinese Taipei on September 24. These games will test the team’s preparation and skill. Still, Pakistan’s entry marks an important step for the sport’s growth in the country.
Out of all teams, 15 will qualify for the final tournament in Indonesia. These include the 8 group winners and the 7 best runners-up. The competition also offers players a chance to gain global exposure.
The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is planning training camps in July to prepare the squad. Coaches aim to improve team strategy, fitness, and confidence. For Pakistan, this debut is more than qualification — it’s a moment of pride and progress.
