ISLAMABAD – Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday claimed that Pakistan achieved success on not just one, but three major fronts during the recent five-day conflict with India. He emphasized that Pakistan’s victory extended beyond the battlefield.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Bilawal stated that the country secured significant achievements on the diplomatic front, won the narrative war, and effectively defended its borders. He said these victories proved Pakistan’s resilience in the face of a larger, resource-rich adversary.
“We were told India is a huge country, seven times bigger in terms of resources, with strong ties to global powers. Yet Pakistan not only defended itself but brought down six of their aircraft,” said Bilawal. He added that the success was not accidental, but the result of careful strategy and national unity.
Highlighting the diplomatic efforts, Bilawal praised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistani diplomats. He said that following the incident in Pahalgam, the government acted quickly. “On Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s instructions, we took Pakistan’s stance to the world, and our narrative was acknowledged globally,” he added.
Moreover, Bilawal stressed that the battle of narratives was equally crucial. “We can proudly say that we won the narrative war,” he said. He credited the media, civil society, and government officials for presenting Pakistan’s case with clarity and strength during a highly sensitive time.
In conclusion, the PPP Chairman noted that the recent conflict served as a reminder of Pakistan’s capabilities. Despite facing a larger enemy, the country stood united, defended its sovereignty, and emerged successful on multiple levels—militarily, diplomatically, and ideologically.
