LAHORE: Pakistan launch their campaign in the 10th Men’s Hockey Asia Cup as hosts nation Bangladesh are all set to play Pakistan at Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium in Dhaka Today (Wednesday). All four teams of the competitions pool A will in action on the opening day which happens to be today. The opening match of the tournament is India vs Japan which would be followed by the match between the hosts Bangladesh and Pakistan, the match will begin at 4:30 pm PST according to information released by the Pakistan Hockey Federation. Pakistan maintain a good record against Bangladesh having won four out of the four matches the two nations have played against each other without conceding a single goal in the Asia Cup. When Dhaka last staged the Asia Cup back in 1985, the Bangladeshi team gave Pakistan a run for their money and only lost by a 0-1 scoreline, but they faced a Pakistan team that were the Kings of the sport at that time, having all the titles to their names, including the World Cup, Olympics, Asia Cup & Asian Games.
