Sindh Cultural day celebrated with great enthusiasm

 Sindh Culture Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in Larkana on Sunday.

In this regard,a cultural event was organized at Jinnah Bagh Chowk in the city with the joint cooperation of Larkana Press Club and representatives of Sindhi media. It continued till late night, the famous artists of Sindh Shiraz Abbasi, Nawaz Siraj Solangi, Sajjan Mairi, Imam Bakhsh Baloch, Niaz Imrani, Nadir Lashari, Raja Samoo and others bowed their heads in the cultural event.

The ceremony was marked by four moons, on which the youth, old and children danced. In the main ceremony MPA Larkana Jameel Ahmed Soomro, Larkana Deputy Commissioner Dr Sharjeel Noor Channa, SSP Mir Rohal Khan Khoso, District General Secretary of People’s Party and Chairman District Council Larkana Ejaz Ahmed Laghari, Bhutto, Mayor Larkana Advocate Anwar Ali Luhar and Including leaders of various political, social, nationalist, business organizations, intellectuals, poets, writers, professors, doctors and personalities associated with different schools of thought participated in large numbers.

MPA Larkana Jameel Ahmed Soomro addressed the event. He said today is a cultural Eid for the people of Sindh which started with Sindhi cap and Ajrak, we are happy that we respect our language as well as the language and culture of others.

Separately, Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday extended his heartfelt congratulations to the people of Sindh on the occasion of Sindhi Culture Day, celebrating the province’s rich history and cultural significance.

In his message, he described Sindh as the cradle of ancient civilization, renowned for its deep-rooted traditions, values, and exemplary hospitality. He emphasized that love, sincerity, and humanism are the defining characteristics of Sindhi culture.

The chairman also highlighted the beauty of Pakistan’s multicultural identity, where each culture makes a unique and valuable contribution to the country’s diverse fabric.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Sunday expressed good wishes to all Sindhi brothers and sisters on the occasion of Sindhi Culture Day and said that Sindhi culture is a culture of peace, love, tradition and unity.

In his message on the occasion of Sindhi Culture Day, he stressed the need to officially celebrate the cultural days of all communities at the national level to promote our peaceful co-existence so that they can play their role in the development and prosperity of Pakistan with national spirit.

CM Bugti felicitated Sindhi brothers and sisters living all over the world on Sindhi Culture Day, saying that culture brings colours of happiness to the lives of people.

The CM said Pakistan is a bouquet of different cultures, and Sindhi culture is also prominent in this bouquet.

Sarfraz Bugti said that Sindhi culture is a culture of peace, love, traditions and unity which is among the oldest cultures in the world.

He said that it is our first responsibility to keep all the cultures of Pakistan alive and to attract the young generation towards knowledge and awareness.

Sarfraz Bugti said that culture is the name of unity, love human respect and being connected to the motherland.

“I congratulate heirs of Indus valley civilisation, Sindhi brothers and sisters living in Sindh, Pakistan and all corners of the world, on the historic Sindh Culture Day,” said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif in her special message on the Day. She added, “Warm greetings from the people of Punjab to the hardworking and hospitable Sindhi brothers and sisters on Sindh Culture Day, accept our warm greetings on the Day.”

Madam Chief Minister said, “Sindhi Ajrak, Sindhi topi, charming music and poetry enhance cultural beauty of Pakistan.” She added, “The beautiful and ancient culture of Sindh is a source of attraction for everyone.” She underscored, “Sindhi culture is unique and rich in diversity.”
