KARACHI: The President of Pakistan, Mr Mamnoon Hussain, Monday appreciated the professional capabilities of special security unit Sindh police commando Khan Saeed Afridi and congratulated him on becoming the world martial arts champion. Saeed Afridi won gold medal and became the world champion at the 2nd World Martial Arts and Thai-Festival after defeating an Indonesian player. Saeed Afridi, 26, took part in the final of world championship in Bangkok and knocked-out the Indonesian player by demonstrating high quality display of Martial Arts skills, techniques and vast stamina to win gold. In all 70 countries participated in the international event. The President also appreciated the SSU in its efforts for promoting sports and establishing in-house sports teams.
