LONDON: The former England international has signed a one-year contract with Aston Villa after his contract with former club Chelsea ended with a Premier League title win last season. John Terry enjoyed an illustrious career with the Blues, winning Four Premier league titles, Five FA cups, Three League cups, a Europa League cup and Europe’s biggest prize-the UEFA Champions League cup. The former Chelsea captain made his debut for Chelsea back in 1998 and since then, he has gone on to make 713 appearances for the Blues, captaining them on 578 occasions. The 36-year old won PFA Player of the year award in 2005 and started 78 games for the England senior side, going on to play a major role in England’s European and World cup matches. John Terry joins a young side being led by a manager who has past experience of playing at the highest level with growing reputation and glowing reviews in the form of Steve Bruce. Asked about his ambitions, Terry stated that he has the same ambitions as his new club, a return to top flight football.
