KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) Managing Director Misbahuddin Farid called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and took back his resignation. According to Chief Minister House spokesperson, CM Qaim directed Sindh IGP AD Khawaja to issue necessary instruction to the city police to provide necessary security to Water Board MD Misbahuddin. The chief minister directed the KWSB MD to start vigorous campaign against illegal hydrants, water theft and those who are enjoying illegal connections. The chief minister said, “We would provide you necessary security and you have to work hard with new spirit.” While talking to KWSB MD Misbahuddin, the Sindh chief minister said that resignation is very easy and open avenue to give up. He said, “The braves are those who face the situation like a man and do their job according to the voice of their conscience.” The CM said, “Misbahuddin is a good officer and has the capacity to solve the water shortage issue in the city. Sindh Chief Minister Syed qaim Ali Shah said that he has already released funds to provide free of cost tankers to the people living in water-shortage areas. He directed KWSB MD to supervise distribution of tankers and make all out efforts to make the distribution system of KWSB efficient. Misbah thanked the Sindh chief minister for his guidelines and support.
