LAHORE: Punjab government has slapped ban on proscribed outfits to collect hides of sacrificial animals on the eve of Eidul Azha. Charity organisations will not be entitled to collect sacrificial animals’ hides without obtaining NOC from the district administration. The Punjab government has issued circulars to all DCOs in this regard. Sources said that no banned organisation will be authorised to collect hides even under some other nomenclature. However it will be binding on charity organisations which collect hides to seek permission from respective DCO. District Intelligence Committee (DIC) of every district will issue a NOC after reviewing all the documents. Those found responsible for violating these directives will be proceeded against under the rules.
