The American Singer and The Cover Girl spokeswoman Katty Perry is launching a new collaboration with the beauty brand Cover Girl, and the exciting news is that it will be entirely mermaid themed. Cue the cheers of beach goddesses everywhere. The Chained to the Rhythm singer, who has been the face of the beauty brand since 2013, revealed she was inspired by mermaids when creating her new limited edition Katy Kat Pearl collection. Perry gave all of the details of her upcoming collection in an interview. “There are new fun and cheerful colours ranging from Peachy Apricat to a Bluetiful Lip, shimmery highlighters in rose and gold, and a pop of Whispurr White or Purmaid Green to line your eyes,” Perry said. She also mentioned that she “put glitter in the black liners”, for a classier, but fun look. From what it seems, this collection will definitely make Ariel jealous. The collection includes; four new Katy Kat eye liners – sea green, black, pearl and sparkly grey; four new Katy Kat Pearl lipsticks – icy blue, peach, pink and tomato red, each with a golden sheen and two new Katy Kat Shadow and Highlighter pots – gold, rose gold. Katy has already given the beauty products their red carpet debut at the Grammys earlier this month, wearing a highlighter, eyeliner and eyeshadow from the limited edition collection.
