Sir: Over the past few days there have been a spate of armed robberies targeting banks in Karachi. On Wednesday, August 9 a bank in the city’s congested area was looted, only a short distance from police post. A day earlier the robbers had struck a bank off in Shahrah-i-Quaideen, where the manager found the bank dead. It is not the first or last case in the city, the robberies are taking place back to back in the same month. Karachi is the gateway of Pakistan, its safety should be the first priority of government.
