Sir: Finally the Shahzeb Khan case seems to be gaining the attention that it deserves. Shahrukh Jatoi, the young man who shot dead Shahzeb after a very minor altercation, has been arrested and sent to juvenile prison after a ruling of the anti-terrorism court. It was argued that the boy is a minor and that he cannot be sent to a normal jail. While I personally think Jatoi should have been awarded maximum punishment, I am glad to see that something substantial has been done. We are so used to seeing the rich and powerful getting away with all manner of crimes that even a halfhearted punishment seems to be a little victory. What a sorry state.
