Adnan Siddiqui reveals what role the main character plays in Salahuddin Ayyubi drama

Pakistan and Turkey are set to co-produce a television series on the life of Salahuddin Ayyubi, however, one of the producers of this joint venture, Adnan Siddiqui, has shared all the details about the series.

In an interview with British news website, the “Mere Paas Tum Ho” actor said that actors from both the countries will be part of this historical project. The 25 percent of casting will be from Pakistan and the rest of them will be Turkish actor and actresses. The renowned actor clarified that the government isn’t investing in this project.

To a question regarding the role of hero in drama, Adnan Siddiqui mentioned that he will not play the role of famous Muslim ruler Salahuddin Ayyubi in the drama, but this role will be given to the Turkish actor and his name is in the final stages.

Sharing details about the drama, the Pakistani actor said that the production duties will be performed by Dr Kashif Ansari, Junaid Ali Shah, Humayun Saaed and Adnan Siddiqui himself. ‘Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui will co-produce Salahuddin al-Ayyubi series,’ he added

Sharing details about the drama, the Pakistani actor said that the production duties will be performed by Dr Kashif Ansari, Junaid Ali Shah, Humayun Saaed and Adnan Siddiqui himself. “Humayun Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui will co-produce Salahuddin al-Ayyubi series,” he added.

He said that the first season will be entirely made in Turkey and the second season will have some scenes filmed in Pakistan. According to Adnan Siddiqui, it will be a series. He added that the broadcasters will be decided later on.

The series made on the life of Salahuddin Ayyubi will comprise of three seasons. A season will have four episodes.

Adnan Siddiqui said that although, it will be dubbed in a number of languages but its two main languages will be Urdu and Turkish. The actors of the two countries will film scenes in their own languages.

The co-producer of this upcoming series said that anyone who has got the talent can audition for the roles in this series. Those who are selected will go to Turkey for training.

He said that he hasn’t decided anything about his own role but if he wants to then just like everyone else he would also audition.
