Ghinva demands probe into Murtaza’s murder

Published on: September 20, 2016 11:58 PM

LARKANA: Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) Chairperson Ghinva Bhutto has demanded re-investigation of the murder of Mir Murtaza Bhutto, her husband and founder of the party, in the light of the investigation report of Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid’s Commission.

She was addressing a large gathering at Garhi Khuda Bux on the eve of 20th martyrdom anniversary of the late leader on Tuesday morning. Ghinva said that people will now decide the case of the late Murtaza Bhutto. “The prime murderer of Mir Murtaza is Asif Ali Zardari. Abdullah Shah, Sindh’s chief minister at that time, was also involved in this murder,” she said.

She said that third murderer was Shoaib Suddle, who was DIG of the Sindh police at that time. “Masood Sharif, who was chief of the Intelligence Bureau at that time, is also among the murderers of Murtaza Bhutto,” she said, adding that Wajid Durrani, the then SSP, planned 70-Clifton incident.

After killing the PPP-SB founder, the SSP informed his bosses that the work had been done. “Shaqaib Qureshi, who was ASP at that time and now chairman of the Revenue Board, is also among the murderers,” she said. She said that Shahid Hayat and Rao Tahir had told the Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid Commission that Mir Murtaza Bhutto was slightly injured and when he went to sit in the police mobile he was fired from close range.

She said that justice was yet to be done. Through a resolution, the gathering demanded fresh probe into the assassination of the late Murtaza Bhutto on the basis of the commission report. Another resolution severely condemned the atrocities of Indian forces over innocent people of Kashmir and demanded of the United Nations to take action against India.

The party activists also held Quran Khuwani at the Bhutto House in Naundero and a large number of party workers participated. MNA Ayaz Soomro, Larkana Mayor Aslam Shaikh, District Council Chairman Khan Muhammad Sanghroo, Sikander Ali Katper, Allah Dino Bhutto and others also participated.
