How to Be a Better Leader is less of a book and more of a teacher

Published on: July 15, 2019 2:45 AM

Stefan Stern’s How to be a Better Leader is a very effective book guiding the readers to get into good leadership specifically in business and politics. He mainstreamed some of the most essentials of newly starting a business or having to get to be a real “leader” instead of that a “politician” in role of the leadership.

The book revolves around some businessmen who had made their names in the fields of business along with some political leaders who brought about real change among their people and in the world.

“Good leaders are purpose-driven, not personality-driven.” The quotation from the book inspired me a lot personally. According to the writer, most “so-called leaders” in modern days are mostly personality-driven relying overall on how they appear externally. They are even purposeless, unsure of what to do next. Such leaders usually fail to guide their nation or business to a great extent of prosperity. Therefore, containing purpose in the initiation is always a worthy step to shine on the map of the world very soon.

‘Good leaders are purpose-driven, not personality-driven.’ The quotation from the book inspired me a lot personally. According to the writer, most ‘so-called leaders’ in modern days are mostly personality-driven relying overall on how they appear externally. They are even purposeless, unsure of what to do next

One more thing that the writer talked of which was quite real in the modern era that most leaders pretend to be egoistic. He gave the example of Donald Trump, the current president of United States of America, and how his egoism is affecting his leadership in the next level of America’s income. A leader must always be pure in nature looking for the good in everything.

Later on, he had some good words for the former president of USA, Barack Obama, who was so kind and led the people with some great intentions and quality leadership skills.

Besides this, when we get to be leaders, we keep the things quite tough for our followers. It affects so badly that even lessens the number of followers the leader has. He has to be simple and precised when interacting with his members or followers.

Even, most leaders who could not prove to be influential is all a result of their not being straight forward. A great leader is a straight forward person with reality based facts. He never goes with inaccurate things that would cause awful effects to his members or followers. He always depends them from the front and leads them towards the most aspiring positions.

The book was written in pure English with some unique tips to be a better leader. Once read entirely, I am sure the readers are going to see some unique changes in becoming a more effective leader.

I personally recommend it to those who have interest in either politics or business. The book encourages you to have some great ideas of dealing with every situation as a successful leader in your field.
