In international relations there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, but it is evident beyond the shred of doubt that for the last 70 years Pakistan and Indo-Pakistan india relations haves been in the doldrums, and clouds of animosity are hovering over it owing due to a plethora of reasons. It’s an established is a well-documented fact that the two nuclear-armed countries have not only come eye to eye in the battlefield but in the meantime also signed numerous agreements to reduce hostilities all but in bridge the gap but all the efforts ended in vain.
In the first place Kashmir is the bone of contention that has plunged the two countries in the fold of an armed race. Undoubtedly, It is beyond the iota of doubt that India has unleashed the reign of terror immediately after she has signed an agreement of accession with maharaja Hari singh on oct12,1947 soon after it signed the treaty of accession with Maharaja Hari Singh in October 1947. .It India has consistently been been violating the human rights for last seven decades and but the international community deliberately looks the other way for the atrocities being committed in the valley adding insult into pile that international community has closed their eyes to bring into notice Kashmir’s right of independence.
On the other hand, In this regard Pakistan’s role has been laudable in highlighting the Kashmir cause and is very encouraging and plausible too that she has lifted the Kashmir issue on every platform and regards it Kashmir as a jugular vein of Pakistan. Recently the Organiszation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) has passed a recent resolution on Kashmir was commendable since it openly condemned India’s brutal actions in the restive valley. resolution for the protection of Kashmir’s rights and said that Indian forces should stop terrorism in Indian occupied Kashmir.
Secondly, terrorism is a daunting noteworthy challenge that has bought the two countries to in the brink of war on various occasions. India has been accusing Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism despite knowing the fact that it’s a menace which devoured Pakistan too country has lost thousands of lives as well as billions of dollars. Recently suicide attack on Indian forces in Palwama region of Indian occupied Kashmir on Feb14,2019 , led to the loss of 43 Indian soldiers which again India considers Pakistan behind this attack However, India had once against resorted to accusatory tone when the Pulwama attack occurred a few weeks ago.
The time has come for both states to rebuild trust and live like responsible neighours for the sake of future generations
Tensions ensued to the brink of a war-like situation when the Indians tried to commit multiple acts of aggression in recent days. On feb26,2019 , Indian fighter jet crossed Line Of Control (LOC) which were dispersed by Pakistan airforce and tensions continue to build up. On Feb27,2019 , JF-17 thunder shot down two MIG-21 for violating the sovereignty of the country. In this whole scenario, India’s Wing Commander Abhin Nandan emerged as a real war hero for Indians but the reality is that he was in the custody of Pakistan army for few days captured after his fighter jet was shot down. He was, subsequently, released within two days as a goodwill gesture by Prime Minister Imran Khan but the Indians considered him a ‘hero. Imran khan is holding the vanguard position and announced to release Abhi Nandan to give chance to peace for the bright future.
There is no denying the impression that there’s is no alternative of peace, and war is not an affordable panacea for all the issue. The two countries must resolve their issues through dialogue that leads to sustainable peace and prosperity. However, how to navigate through such trouble pathways need to chalk out since reendeavors to steer the Indian and Pakistani ship from the troubled waters to the safe shores.
It is the need of the hour that they both the countries have to establish trade connectivity for with each other of mutual interests. European Union (EU) is the perfect epitome. andBby following the footsteps ofits footsteps, EU they both the nations can easily become beacons of economic progress.disentangle themselves from the snare of war hysteria.
PM KhanSince, Imran khan has holed the reign of the country. He has been considerably working on ensuring peace with India been trying to bridge the gap between the two countries. The Kartarpur corridor initiative is one of his government’s the shining glaring examples of of Imran khan optimistic approach and statesmanship. He extended numerous olive branches to melt the ice. Unfortunately, Indian Prime Minister Narendraar Modi on the other side is trying to isolate Pakistan on international stage as well as imbalance the strategic equilibrium through heavy military imports for hegemonic designs increasing its military power and trying its best to become a member of Nuclear Supplier Group (NSG) to disturb the regional balance of power and adds fuel into already fragile environment. Moreover, all these hegemonic Indian activities clearly reflects Indian malign role.
Evidently,It is evident beyond the realm of doubt that ther ole of media’s role has increased exponentially. It mani fold and it is a well established fact that plat form of media can easily sway the opinions for vested interests of both the nations. In this regard, Indian media’s role has been irresponsible, to say the least. Perhaps, Indian journalists should avoid toeing the official narrative and question their government of its ill-doings.Indian media should play constructive role and stop lying to public and bring into vogue policy of reconciliation among the people of both countries.
In a nutshell,no doubt Pakistan and India are embroiled in the fold of numerous dilemmas that have obstructed the progression of both the nations and pushed them in to the darkness of obscurity. Nonetheless, this is the time the time has come for both states to rebuild trust and live like responsible neighours the government to build trust and wipe out misunderstandings for the sake of their future generations.
