That moment of sunset is yet remembered,
Converting the brightness into darkness,
The hopeful eyes awaited the appearance of the shiny moon,
Having multiple wishes and desires
I searched and searched and searched
The first night’s moon!
But, the dark eyes couldn’t find out anything,
Gradually, the darkness appeared
The hopeful eyes became hopeless,
Oh! Suddenly, a minor part of moon appeared behind the clouds,
I felt happy,
Millions of expectations had risen up later,
Initiating the holy days with gladness
Expected to sacrifice the days,
Bearing the pains of empty stomachs,
Fasting!
Successfully, I did whatever expected,
Even colleagues criticised me
Having yourself punished with it is idiotic,
Guided me to protect the health
Respecting the profession, enjoy the moments without tension,
The rejection was my final selection!
I faced every hardship and pain
For thy happiness matters the most to me!
Finally, the special day approached in no time
Killing my dreams and wishes,
When you stopped accompanying me
My struggle became fruitless,
And every way is blocked for me yet by now,
Such special events always come and go
Having nothing to cheer up for me,
In thy absence!
I am hopeless and helpless till now
Still lost in the dark
No one can find out me but you,
I only await your accompaniment
Return back and hold my hand
For I may never exist without you anymore!
