5 types of rice that are good for health

Rice, being a part of cultural dishes of numerous countries, is a highly integral part of people’s diet, all around the world. However, many consider it to be unhealthy and a source of overwhelming carbohydrates. In order to rid people of the thinking that this is necessarily true, here are 5 types of healthy rice.

Brown rice

This is the most common type of healthy rice. Certain varieties of brown rice such as Basmati and Jasmine contain high level of nutrients, beneficial for our bodies.

One of these nutrients is magnesium, which is lesser known to be a vital part of our daily diet but in actuality it helps avoid chances of heart disease, making it significantly important to consume regularly.

Chinese black rice

People beyond the Chinese population rarely know of this rice but their nutritional value is through the roof. They contain tremendous amounts of iron, along with antioxidants that fight against diseases.

Even though most people aren’t aware of this rice’s advantages, it is found in many Asian supermarkets.

This rice is the perfect substitute for regular rice, if one wishes to go on a strict diet without eliminating rice from their daily food intake, completely. It is rich is fiber and proteins, along with vitamin B. Its texture is unique and needs a little getting used to which comes with time if it’s consumed regularly.

Sprouted rice

This type of rice is made by a process wherein it is first turned to a plant while germinating to shoot up its nutritional value. It contains unique compounds that regulate your mood and work towards achieving the healthiest heart status.

Sticky rice

This rice, much like the wild rice, contains high traces of fiber, proteins and vitamins. It has insignificant levels of fat and a few minerals, like zinc, which builds a strong immune system and helps in catalysing chemical reactions inside the body, speeding up the overall metabolism.
