KHAIRPUR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sardar Ali Gohar Khan Mahar on Saturday filed nomination forms to contest elections from NA-205 constituency of Ghotki-II, and provincial seats PS-21 and PS-22, respectively.
Reportedly, the influential politician Sardar was displeased by Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) pending decision regarding issuance of party tickets in-between Mahar brothers to contest elections from Ghotki district. PPP tried to resolve the conflict many times.
Meanwhile, the Grand Democratic Alliance awarded party ticket to the former Sindh chief minister and Ex-MNA Sardar Ali Muhammad Khan Mahar.
Moreover, Bangul Khan Mahar, the brother of former provincial minister of sports Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, has refused to contest election on PPP’s ticket against his cousin Ali Gohar Khan Mahar from NA-205.
Consequently, PPP awarded party ticket to Baber Lund to contest election from NA-205.
However, PPP has been trying to resolve conflicts to ensure that Mahar brothers would contest elections on PPP tickets.
Meanwhile, GDA awarded party ticket to former MPA Nusrat Sahar Abbasi, who has filed his nomination papers to contest election from NA-20 constituency of Pano Aqil. She would be contesting against PPP leader and former MNA Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah.
