KHAIRPUR: The spokesperson of SALU Dr Taj Lashari issued a press release that rejected the accusations and perception of corruption by SALUTA during a seminar conducted in Larkana.
He clarified that the financial department of the university operates accordingly with pre-audit and post-audit that is performed on regular basis through the finance wing in a transparent manner.
Lashari further claimed that the meetings of the statuary bodies including Selection Board, Syndicate, Advance Studies, Research Board, Academic Council and Senate are conducted on regular basis. The faculty members are promoted on merit-cum-seniority basis without any discrimination.
“The administration did not victimise any member and does not believe in personal vendetta,” he maintained while adding that they had strictly followed rules and regulations. He claimed that salaries and other services are processed on time without unprecedented delay. “They aim to defame and malign the institution publicly,” he responded. “The MS, MPhil and PhD allowance will be disbursed accordingly as per decision of the Syndicate meeting that would be conducted soon,” he added while maintaining that the electricity, accommodation and transportation services are available that counters the SALUTA allegation.
The SALU authorities adopted effective measures to ensure transparency and good governance in the examination system. In this regard, a committee has been constituted that would formulate initiatives.
