KHAIRPUR: The Gambat Police claimed on Tuesday to have apprehended a vehicle-lifting gang after arresting three of its active members and seized a car, master key and weapons from their possession in Gambat Taluka, an administrative subdivision of Khairpur District. According to the Khairpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shabir Sethar, Gambat Police raided the suspects’ hideout and arrested Syed Mashooq Shah, Nadir Shah and Shafqat Mangnejo. Meanwhile, a pistol, ammunitions, XLI car, 2 kilos of charas, mobiles phones and cash were seized from them. The SSP further informed that the accused were operating all over the country while their gang leader managed to escape from the spot. Consequently, the police started further investigation to arrest leader of the gang.
Boy dies after falling from tree
A 12-year-old boy died on Tuesday after falling from a tree near the village of Ahmedpur in Khairpur district. According to Ahmedpur police sources, Sabir Ali Larik suffered a fatal head injury when he fell to the ground. Meanwhile, he was shifted to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury.
