
SHIKARPUR: The Shikarpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Masood Ahmed Bangash on Thursday claimed that police killed six bandits and recovered arms and ammunitions from their four injured accomplices. The Shikarpur Information Department received a police monthly report that suggested that police officers conducted 22 encounters during which many robbers were arrested. The police seized 130 kilos of Charas and 240 bottles of liquor. Furthermore, the police detained 380 proclaimed offenders and 110 gamblers. The police arrested murderers, who killed a woman, her daughter and two grandsons.
Meanwhile, the traffic police imposed fine on 315 motorists for violating traffic laws. The SSP further elaborated that police have been adopting effective measures for the maintenance of law and order in the district.
The police also sought rangers’ help to establish police pickets for strict checking at exit and entry points of the city.
