SHO embraces martyrdom during operation against criminals

Published on: May 8, 2018 2:40 AM

KASHMORE: A Station House Officer (SHO) was martyred on Monday while leading an operation against a gang of criminals at the Katcha area of Garhi Tegho, which has been a safe haven for criminals.

According to a report, the police tried to besiege the Katcha area to rescue four kidnapped people including Inam Golo, Ghalib Lashari, Rizwan Bhutto and Zaib Bhangar. Consequently, a gang of robbers namely ‘Nawab Jagirani’ fiercely attacked the police with rocket launcher that resulted in the death of SHO of Karampur Police Station, Inspector Ali Hassan Bakhrani. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kashmore-Kandhkot Bashir Ahmed Brohi rushed to the spot with a heavy contingent of police. The body of martyred SHO was shifted to the Kashmore-Kandhkot Civil Hospital for medical examination, but later handed over to his family. Reportedly, eight rockets were launched at Armoured Police Carrier (APC) vehicles, destroying two of them.
