Women’s Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore Division conducts Laurels of Honour awards

LAHORE: Women’s Chamber of Commerce & Industry Lahore Division conducted an award ceremony called Laurels of Honour on Wednesday at the Governor House Lahore.

Journalist and entrepreneur Shehrbano Taseer, daughter of Shaheed Salmaan Taseer, received Print Media of the Year award for the weekly fashion and lifestyle magazine Sunday Times.

The theme of the ceremony was We Believe In Economic Empowerment.

There were a total of 20 award categories based purely on the selection. The aim of these awards was to celebrate the high accomplishments of women who have made a mark in their respective fields and have worked tirelessly in achieving their objectives.

Some of the other awards that were given out during the event were handed over to Sultana Siddique (Woman of the Year), Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri (Corporate Woman Award of the Year), Fauzia Viqar (Impact Award of the Year), Ume Laila Azhar (NGO Empowering Micro Entrepreneurs Award of the Year), Samaira Nazir Siddique (Professional Woman Award of the Year), Fakhra Hassan (Gems & Jewellery Exporter Award of the Year), Maria B (Textile Exporter Award of the Year), Mahrukh Ali (Successful Innovation Award of the Year), Maria Umar (Woman in Implementation Award of the Year), Shameelah Ismaeel (Innovation in Services Award of the Year), Myra Qureshi (Green Business Award of the Year), Faaiza Amjad (Unique Business & Highest Tax Payer Award of the Year), Shanze Anwar (Unique Business & Highest Tax Payer Award of the Year), Raheela Shuja (Successful Micro Entrepreneur Award of the Year), Fauzia Saeed (Culture Award of the Year), Mushal Mullick (Freedom Inspiration in Peace & Culture Award of the Year), Rameesha Shahid (Sports Woman Award of the Year) and Sarah Ahmed (Microsoft Hero Award of the Year).
