Qatar strongly condemned a Houthi attack on a Saudi vessel in the Red Sea and expressed full solidarity with Riyadh. Doha described the incident as a serious violation of international maritime laws and a threat to regional stability.
In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said such attacks in the Red Sea pose risks to global energy security. The ministry added that continued Houthi operations were harming peace and stability across the region.

Qatar called for effective implementation of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. The ministry said actions threatening maritime security could increase tensions and create further instability in the Middle East.
Additionally, Qatar reaffirmed its support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security and stability. Doha said it supported all measures taken by Riyadh to protect its national security and interests.
Meanwhile, Qatar praised Oman’s diplomatic efforts to coordinate between Saudi Arabia, Yemeni parties and the United Nations. The ministry stressed that dialogue and negotiations remain important for achieving regional peace.
