Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam on Tuesday conducted the entry test for admissions to its postgraduate degree programs for the academic year 2026. A total of 574 candidates appeared in the test, which was held at designated examination centers established across the university’s faculties.
According to a university spokesperson, 603 applications were received for admission to MSc, MS (IT), ME, MPhil and PhD programs. Of these, 574 applicants were declared eligible to sit the entry examination including 80 candidates seeking admission to PhD programs.
Faculty-wise details showed that 203 candidates appeared for the Faculty of Crop Production, comprising 183 MSc and 20 PhD applicants. The Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences recorded 135 candidates including 117 MPhil and 18 PhD applicants.
Meanwhile, 131 candidates took the test for the Faculty of Agricultural Social Sciences and the Information Technology Centre including 26 PhD applicants. The Faculty of Crop Protection had 69 candidates, of whom 8 were PhD applicants, while 36 candidates appeared for the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology including 6 PhD applicants.
