South Air to launch 1st flight from restored Bahawalpur airport on July 16

A private airline, South Air, will launch its inaugural flight from Bahawalpur on July 16, marking the resumption of commercial flight operations at Bahawalpur Airport. Official sources confirmed that the airport is set to resume operations with South Air commencing its scheduled service. The airline has also announced the flight schedule and fares for the new route.

According to the schedule, the inaugural flight will depart Karachi at 7:30 am on Thursday, July 16, and arrive at Bahawalpur Airport at 9:20 a.m. The one-way fare from Karachi to Bahawalpur has been fixed at Rs 20,324.

The aircraft will then depart Bahawalpur at 9:50 am for Islamabad, arriving at Islamabad International Airport at 11:40 am It will leave Islamabad at 12:25 p.m. on the return journey, reaching Bahawalpur at 2:15 pm The one-way fare between Bahawalpur and Islamabad has been set at Rs 16,363. Later the same day, the aircraft will depart Bahawalpur at 2:45 pm for Karachi, landing there at 4:35 pm. The restoration of commercial flight operations at Bahawalpur Airport is expected to significantly improve air connectivity for the region, offering passengers convenient direct access to Karachi and Islamabad, official sources said.
