PM Shehbaz vows decisive action against terrorism

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s eastern neighbour is involved in terrorism and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to eliminate militant groups. He made the remarks while chairing the National Action Plan Provincial Apex Committee meeting in Quetta. The meeting focused on strengthening national security and counterterrorism efforts across the country.

The meeting was attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan, and senior federal ministers. Addressing participants, the prime minister said several major terrorist incidents had occurred in recent days. He paid tribute to police personnel, soldiers, and civilians who lost their lives in the attacks.

Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif said security forces had killed 54 terrorists during recent operations. He vowed that the campaign would continue until the last militant was eliminated. The prime minister praised the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and said the entire nation stands firmly behind its security institutions.

The prime minister also alleged that Pakistan’s eastern neighbour is supporting terrorist activities by supplying weapons to militant groups. He further claimed that terrorists are using Afghan territory to launch attacks against Pakistan. He stressed that addressing these security challenges requires coordinated national efforts and effective implementation of counterterrorism measures.

Shehbaz Sharif said the political and military leadership share a unified commitment to eradicate terrorism from the country. He pledged that all available resources would be utilized to eliminate the threat completely. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening security coordination and ensuring lasting peace in Pakistan.
