Saudi media has reported that the next round of Iran-US talks is expected to begin in Pakistan on July 11. According to the report, the negotiations will resume after the funeral ceremonies of Iran’s late Supreme Leader are completed.
According to Al Arabiya, the upcoming talks are expected to focus on US sanctions against Iran, the release of frozen Iranian assets, and Tehran’s nuclear program. The negotiations are aimed at reducing tensions and advancing diplomatic efforts between the two countries.
The report also said that indirect talks between Iran and the United States were held in Doha on Wednesday. US President Donald Trump reportedly described those discussions as constructive, raising hopes for further diplomatic progress.
Saudi media further claimed that Iranian officials said both sides had reached an understanding on restoring access to several billion dollars of Iran’s frozen assets during the Doha talks. However, US officials denied that any such agreement had been finalized.
If held as reported, the Iran-US talks in Pakistan could mark another important step in diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Washington. However, there has been no official confirmation from Pakistan, Iran, or the United States regarding the reported venue or the July 11 schedule.
