
Pakistan and Iran reaffirmed their commitment to stronger bilateral relations and regional peace during a high-level meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni in Islamabad. The two leaders reviewed the regional situation following the recent peace agreement and expressed satisfaction over the reduction in tensions, emphasizing the importance of continued diplomatic engagement to maintain stability and prevent future conflicts.
During detailed discussions, both sides highlighted the value of close cooperation between neighboring countries in addressing shared challenges and promoting long-term peace. Both countries agreed to strengthen coordination in security, cyber security and immigration management while improving communication between relevant institutions. In addition, Momeni announced plans for a more detailed visit to Pakistan in the near future to further advance joint initiatives and strengthen institutional ties. Senior Pakistani officials, including representatives from the Interior Ministry, FIA, National Police Academy and National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, attended the meeting. The discussions underscored the growing importance of Pakistan-Iran cooperation as both nations seek greater stability, security and economic progress in the region.
