Hania Adil suffered fatal gunshot wounds, postmortem reveals

Published on: June 18, 2026 9:39 AM

The postmortem report of Hania, who was killed during a CCD firing incident in Chakwal, has revealed that she died from multiple bullet injuries that caused severe bleeding and extensive damage to vital organs.

According to the report, Hania sustained a total of 11 gunshot-related injuries and wound marks. Medical examiners concluded that the injuries caused extensive internal damage and heavy bleeding, leading to her death.

The report stated that severe trauma and blood loss caused the child’s heart and lungs to stop functioning. A metallic bullet fragment was recovered from her body and handed over to investigators as evidence.

Doctors also found that the shooting had severely fractured her right thigh bone. One of the bullets critically damaged her right lung, causing blood to accumulate in her chest cavity. Her liver, as well as parts of both the large and small intestines, were also seriously injured. The report noted deep entry and exit wounds on Hania’s right chest, abdomen, thigh and left elbow.

Medical experts determined that all injuries were ante-mortem, meaning they were inflicted before death. The wounds were described as extremely severe and capable of causing immediate death under normal circumstances, indicating there was virtually no interval between the shooting and her death.

According to the medico-legal report, approximately six to eight hours elapsed between Hania’s death and the post-mortem examination. Hospital authorities have sealed and handed over the victim’s blood-stained clothing, X-rays and other forensic evidence to police for further investigation.

Hania Adil was killed after gunfire was opened on her family in Chakwal on June 10, an incident that has sparked public concern and prompted an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
