The Israeli military instructed residents to move north of the Zahrani River for safety. It also urged people to evacuate at least 1,000 meters from targeted areas. Officials said the measures were linked to alleged ceasefire violations by Hezbollah.
Earlier, evacuation warnings initially covered 13 villages before expanding to 42 locations. The escalation followed intensified airstrikes and artillery shelling across southern Lebanon. Drone activity and targeted strikes were also reported in multiple districts.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued ground operations aimed at Hezbollah positions. Lebanese sources reported rocket attacks and drone strikes launched in response. Both sides have increased military activity despite ongoing diplomatic calls for restraint.
As a result, villages in Nabatieh, Tyre, Bint Jbeil, Marjeyoun, Sidon, and Jezzine have seen rising displacement. Humanitarian conditions continue to worsen as residents flee affected areas. However, no immediate timeline for de-escalation has been announced.
