FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry (FMHCMD) successfully organised MedVerse’26, the 2nd International Undergraduate Research Conference, a five-day academic event dedicated to promoting research, innovation, and scientific collaboration among future healthcare professionals.
A major highlight of the conference was its four scientific sessions, led by distinguished experts Dr. Talat Waseem, Dr Asim Riaz, Dr. Mudassir Ali, and Dr. Saira Afzal, who shared valuable insights on contemporary healthcare challenges and research advancement.
The conference received 140+ abstract submissions from 70 medical colleges across Pakistan and three international institutions, attracting 500+ attendees, 50+ ambassadors from across Pakistan, and featuring 80+ oral and poster presentations. The scientific program also included 10 virtual poster presentations by participants from the United Kingdom, Italy, and Bulgaria, strengthening international academic engagement.
In addition, five major workshops drew 300+ participants, providing hands-on learning and professional development opportunities. By bringing together undergraduate researchers from diverse backgrounds, MedVerse’26 served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, scholarly discussion, and the promotion of a strong research culture within the medical community.
