SIC conducts inspection of LUMHS

Members of Sindh Information Commission(SIC) inspected the record of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro under section 13 of Sindh Right to Information and Transparency Act 2016. Commissioners Muhammad Saleem Khan and Noor Muhammad Dayo conducted this inspection in presence of VC LUMHS Dr. Ikram Ujjan, Director admissions and other relevant officers of the University. Complainant Abdul Khaliq, present on the occasion, had approached the Commission after non provision of record which he requested from the University. Both members of the Commission thoroughly examined the educational record and other credentials of three students of MBBS admitted last year at LUMHS. The Commissioners while appreciating active website of the University to further improve the same as to ensure access to information and Transparency in conduct of affairs of this institution. It was further directed to assign one more officer of the University as Designated Officer/PIO for prompt disposal of complaints/requests for information. The designated officers apologized for delay in provision of information. Vice Chancellor assured that directives of the Commission would be implemented in letter and spirit.
