Speaking at a literary and cultural event in Dubai during a special session titled “From Story to Character,” Mahira shared her thoughts on fame, success and the evolving nature of acting careers.

The superstar said she values both professional success and the affection she receives from her fans. She described her connection with audiences as one of the most meaningful aspects of her career and expressed gratitude for the support she has received over the years.

Mahira noted that while she enjoys being appreciated by fans, she remains aware that fame and popularity are not permanent. She said this understanding has helped her remain focused on her work rather than becoming overly concerned about maintaining celebrity status.

Reflecting on her career, the actress said she is content with her age and the stage of life she is currently experiencing. She remarked that the time when she may stop receiving lead heroine roles is likely approaching, but she views that possibility with acceptance rather than concern.

The actress explained that she sees such transitions as a natural part of an artist’s journey and believes performers should continue evolving with time. According to Mahira, growth as an actor often comes from embracing new challenges and exploring different types of characters.

She also appealed to filmmakers, directors and producers to consider casting her in a wider variety of roles instead of limiting her to conventional heroine characters. Mahira said she is eager to take on unique and diverse projects that would allow her to showcase different dimensions of her acting abilities.
