The prices of gold registered a significant decline in the local market on Wednesday, with 24 karat gold per tola shedding Rs 8,600 to settle at Rs 467,762 compared to Rs 476,362 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs 7,373 to Rs 401,030 from Rs 408,403, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold fell by Rs 6,759 to Rs 367,624 against Rs 374,383. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $86 to $4,454 per ounce from $4,540. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola declined by Rs 259 to Rs 7,894, while the price of 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs 222 to Rs 6,767. The price of silver in the international market decreased by $2.59 to $74.10 per ounce, the association reported.
