Police have confirmed that jewellery and watches worth around Rs2.5 million were stolen. Following an investigation, authorities arrested a 47-year-old woman identified as Rashi Chhabria.
Investigators said the suspect had been visiting the actress’s family since 2020 and had gradually gained the trust of household members by assisting in the care and support of Tandon’s mother. Due to her longstanding association with the family, she reportedly had regular access to the residence.
Police officials stated that preliminary inquiries revealed the suspect was known to the family and had developed a close relationship with them over the years. Authorities believe this familiarity may have enabled her to carry out the theft without immediately raising suspicion.

Officials said further inquiries are underway to determine whether additional individuals were involved in the incident and to establish the full extent of the theft.
