
MAKKAH: Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi Abdul Rahman Al-Hudhaifi delivered the annual Hajj sermon at Masjid Namirah on the plains of Arafat, urging Muslims to uphold patience, unity, truthfulness and gratitude while remaining steadfast in their faith.

Addressing millions of pilgrims gathered for Wuquf-e-Arafah, the imam stressed the importance of worshipping only Allah, adopting piety and maintaining a strong connection with the Creator. He reminded worshippers that patience during hardship is a key teaching of Islam and said Allah has promised great reward for those who remain patient in difficult times.

During the sermon, Imam Abdul Rahman Al-Hudhaifi said that belief in the oneness of Allah and adherence to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are central pillars of faith. He urged Muslims to remain thankful for the blessings bestowed upon them and warned that nations that engaged in oppression and showed ingratitude were deprived of their blessings.
The imam also advised Muslims to always speak the truth and avoid falsehood. He encouraged pilgrims to remain engaged in prayers, remembrance of Allah and supplication throughout the Hajj rituals.
Highlighting the importance of unity among muslims, he urged pilgrims to avoid arguments, disputes and any actions that could harm Muslim solidarity during Hajj. He emphasized that the relationship between Allah and His servants should remain the foundation of salvation and guidance.
Imam Al-Hudhaifi also prayed for the wellbeing of Muslims around the world and called upon Allah to accept the prayers and worship of the pilgrims. Special prayers were offered for peace, forgiveness and relief for the Muslim Ummah facing hardships in different regions.

Following the sermon, pilgrims offered combined Zuhr and Asr prayers at Masjid Namirah before continuing the rituals of Hajj in the plains of Arafat.
