Alleged leaked report raises concerns in Pinky case

Published on: May 23, 2026 4:15 PM

A reportedly leaked investigative report linked to the case of arrested suspect Anmol, also known as “Pinky”, has sparked concern across official, diplomatic, and law enforcement circles in Pakistan after claims emerged that the alleged contact network included bureaucrats, diplomats, and other influential figures.

According to reports, the leaked material circulating online includes data and spreadsheets that allegedly outline a broad communication network involving individuals from different cities and professional backgrounds.

Initial reviews of the available data suggest that the matter extends beyond a limited set of phone numbers and may involve wider connections with people belonging to influential circles. However, authorities have not yet publicly confirmed the authenticity of the leaked documents or the identities mentioned in the alleged network.

The development has triggered debate on social media while also drawing attention from government and investigative institutions concerned about the potential security and legal implications of the claims.

Meanwhile, in connection with the Pinky case, Karachi Police has reportedly sought assistance from the Federal Investigation Agency for investigations related to alleged money laundering and cybercrime activities.

Officials said the FIA’s involvement could help examine digital records, financial transactions, and communication data connected to the case. Investigators are also expected to review whether any organised networks or illegal financial operations were involved.

Authorities have so far remained cautious regarding the leaked report, and no formal statement has been issued confirming the names or positions of individuals allegedly linked to the network.

Legal experts note that leaked investigative material circulating before official verification can complicate ongoing inquiries and may raise concerns regarding privacy, due process, and misinformation.

The case continues to attract public attention as investigators examine the allegations and determine the authenticity and relevance of the information being shared online.
