Gold prices down by Rs 1,600 per tola

The prices of gold decreased in the local market on Monday, with 24 karat gold per tola falling by Rs 1,600 to settle at Rs 495,362 compared to Rs 496,962 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs 1,371 to Rs 424,693 from Rs 426,064, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went down by Rs 1,256 to Rs 389,316 against Rs 390,572. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $16 to $4,730 per ounce from $4,746. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs 130 to Rs 7,934 from Rs 8,064, while the price of 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs 111 to Rs 6,802 from Rs 6,913. The price of silver in the international market decreased by $1.30 to $74.50 per ounce from $75.80.
