Indian Sikh pilgrims will arrive in Pakistan on April 10 via Wagah Border to participate in the Baisakhi festival and the 327th birth anniversary celebrations of the Khalsa, organized under the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB).
The pilgrims will stay in Pakistan until April 19 and visit sacred religious sites including Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal, Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, and other places.
Additional Secretary Shrines, Nasir Mushtaq, said that under the directives of the federal government and Chairman ETPB Syed Qamar-uz-Zaman, comprehensive arrangements have been made for security, accommodation, food and transportation of the pilgrims. He assured that the highest standards of hospitality would be ensured.
ETPB Chairman Syed Qamar-uz-Zaman, President Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Additional Secretary Shrines Nasir Mushtaq, along with provincial ministers and senior officials, will receive the pilgrims at Wagah Border.
The pilgrims will be transported in three groups under strict security to Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib, where they will stay and visit local shrines including Sacha Sauda in Farooqabad. On April 12, they will depart for Hasan Abdal, where the main ceremony will be held on April 14.
On April 15, the pilgrims will reach Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Narowal, and after their stay, they will visit Gurdwara Rohri Sahib in Eminabad on April 17 before arriving in Lahore. They will stay at Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore on April 18 and return to India via Wagah Border on April 19 after completing their visit.
