The Pakistan Navy on Wednesday welcomed a Chinese warship for the Sea Guardian exercise. The drills aim to strengthen maritime cooperation and regional security. The exercise involves naval forces from Pakistan and China.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, the People’s Liberation Army Navy ship Daqing arrived on March 25. Pakistan Navy vessels escorted the warship into port with a traditional ceremonial welcome. The reception highlighted close defense ties between the two countries.

The fourth edition of the Sea Guardian exercise will run from March 25 to April 2. It aims to enhance operational coordination and strengthen bilateral naval cooperation. Both sides will focus on improving joint capabilities and maritime security practices.

The exercise will include harbour and sea-phase activities such as professional exchanges and training sessions. Naval personnel will also participate in seminars on modern maritime challenges. These engagements aim to build mutual understanding and operational readiness.
