KRK arrested for firing at Mumbai building

Published on: January 24, 2026 7:45 PM

Bollywood actor and writer Kamaal Rashid Khan, also known as KRK, was arrested in Mumbai for firing at a residential building. The incident occurred on January 18 in Oshiwara’s Nalanda Society. Police say KRK admitted to firing two rounds from his licensed gun.

According to officials, bullets hit flats on the second and fourth floors. The apartments belong to a writer-director and a model. Initial CCTV footage did not identify him, but forensic analysis linked the bullets to his nearby bungalow. His weapon has been seized for investigation.

A case has been registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. Police continue to probe KRK’s motive behind the shooting. The actor was questioned late Friday night and reportedly cooperated with authorities.

KRK has been a controversial figure in Bollywood beyond films. He gained attention with the 2008 flop Desh Drohi and later became famous online for provocative social media commentary. His posts have drawn multiple legal complaints from stars like Salman Khan and Manoj Bajpayee.
