In Tank’s Gomal area, an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted an armoured police vehicle, killing Station House Officer (SHO) Ishaq Ahmad Khan, five other policemen, and a civilian passer-by. The explosion completely destroyed the vehicle. Rescue teams from 1122 shifted the injured and deceased to nearby hospitals.

The deceased policemen were identified as SHO Ishaq Ahmad Khan, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sher Aslam Khan, driver Abdul Majeed, Arshad Ali, Hazrat Ali, and Ehsanullah. The identity of the civilian victim is yet to be confirmed.

Separately, in Dera Ismail Khan’s Paharpur tehsil, an Elite Force constable, Ismatullah, and his cousin Amir were shot dead in a targeted attack along Kathgarh Road. The attackers managed to flee, and bodies were taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

In Lakki Marwat, three policemen, including an SHO, were injured when an APC was hit by an IED near Jabbarkhel. Security forces quickly responded and initiated search operations in the area.

Counter-terrorism operations continued across the region. In Lakki Marwat’s Kaichi Kamar area, two terrorists from the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, Sheryar alias Sheri and Irfan alias Paan, were killed in an intelligence-based operation. Similarly, in Bannu, two militants, Sohail Khan alias Sangri and Ismail alias Usman, were killed in a coordinated operation. Both were involved in previous attacks on police posts and convoys, including an IED blast at a Rescue 1122 building.
