KP CM Afridi rallies Hyderabad for PTI

Published on: January 10, 2026 4:15 PM

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Saturday departed for Hyderabad to mobilize public support for PTI’s nationwide street movement. He arrived in Karachi on Friday for a four-day visit ahead of February 8 protests. PTI leaders aim to energize citizens and highlight issues from the last general elections.

Afridi was accompanied by PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, KP Local Government Minister Meena Khan Afridi, and Secretary General Salman Akram Raja. The delegation planned visits to key districts and meetings with party workers to strengthen organizational outreach. The trip emphasizes connecting with the public and preparing for the upcoming jalsas.

During his Karachi visit, Afridi addressed supporters, appreciating the massive turnout across districts. He emphasized that the February 8 jalsa at Mazar-i-Quaid would showcase public support for Imran Khan. Afridi said Karachi residents have a “big responsibility” to make the event successful. He encouraged citizens to actively participate and raise their voices.

In Hyderabad, Afridi is scheduled to meet the High Court Bar Association and the press club. He will also attend the Insaf Students Federation convention and join street movement activities. PTI Hyderabad Youth Wing members prepared to welcome him with slogans and public gatherings. The Sindh United Party also pledged support for Afridi’s visit.
