Puerto Rico: Global superstar Bad Bunny has been sued for $16 million by a woman who claims her voice was used without permission in two of his songs.
The lawsuit, filed on January 5 on behalf of Tainaly Y. Serrano Rivera, alleges that her voice appears in Bad Bunny’s 2018 track “Solo de Mi” from his debut album X 100pre and again in “EoO” from his 2025 album Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Rivera claims she never consented to the use of her recording for commercial purposes.

According to Rivera, the audio features her saying: “Mira, puñeta, no me quiten el perrero,” roughly translating to, “Listen, damn it, don’t take away my vibe.” She alleges that the phrase has become closely associated with Bad Bunny and has been used during live performances and in connection with merchandise sales.

The lawsuit also names Bad Bunny’s producer, La Paciencia (Roberto Rosado), stating he requested Rivera to record the line back in 2018. Rivera claims she was not informed that her voice would be used commercially and never signed a contract.
The legal action accuses Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Martínez Ocasio, and his label, Rimas Entertainment, of violating her privacy and publicity rights. Rivera is seeking $16 million in damages.
Both the rapper and the label have been called to appear in Puerto Rican court in May to respond to the claims. This lawsuit marks a rare high-profile legal challenge for the global music sensation, whose songs have dominated charts worldwide.
